mental health day declared

Saucy's not going to lie.

It has been a ridiculously draining week for Saucy and The Cheerios, physically and emotionally. Saucy is officially a wreck. Loopy went up to bed right after supper and after the parent meeting Saucy sat down on the couch and cried.

The parent meeting was great, by the way. It's other stuff.

Luckily, Saucy had a nice phone chat with a fellow coach and they commiserated over a few shared experiences of the week over a glass of wine.

Now she plans to go to bed, pull the covers over her head and come out from underneath sometime tomorrow.

Like, late tomorrow. After the workday is over. She's probably going to get up and shower in time for the weekend.

---------------------- time lapse ------------------------

And now, it's much later at night and Loopy has awakened and there's no milk. She's not feeling well, she's hungry and thirsty and Saucy is feeling like a bad mother because there's no milk. There were 350 cupcakes for every other cheerleader in town but there's no milk for Saucy's own child. Saucy's had her glass of wine so she can't even go out for milk now.

It's. That. Bad.

Send milk.

Sometimes there's just no frickin' milk. It happens. It's ok. You'll get some later.

Hope today is better! Take care & eat some of those cupcakes ~ there's gotta be some sort of dairy there ~ perhaps milk powder or butter ~ & it'll be your dairy for the morning! (Add on a cup of coffee & some cereal as embellishment on your cupcake & you have a well-rounded breakfast! LOL!)

Oh Saucy, it's just Crapuary all around.
26 more days and it'll be March. We can make it.

I feel your pain. I arranged a lovely taco bar lunch for the staff at my daughter's school 2 weeks ago and forgot to make her a sandwich for her lunch box that same day. Imagine the look on her face when she opened her lunch and the trash from the day before was still in there. Fortunately I had left some money on her account so she could buy lunch, but the first thing she said when I picked her up that evening was, "Mom, you forgot my lunch." Worst mom of the year nominee...I know how you feel.

Not to worry... The Fan came through and brought some milk in the morning. I'm fighting an arthritis flare. Hoping to get through the weekend ready to face a busy, busy week with my beloved Cheerios. Thanks everyone.

I felt bad one day when there was no red pepper (his absolute FAVE veggie)for my son's lunch-he had to take carrots. I was heartbroken as a parent - I was giving my life over to my job at the school and my Girl Guide group, but was dropping the ball on my own kid. Then I got to work and witnessed a sic-year-old trying to register himself for Grade One because everyone at home was sleeping off the previous night's party. When you put things in perspective, your kid will survive a day without milk cause she's got a lifetime of love and support from an awesome Mom and her extended family ...

Popped by to see to what you thought of the NFL half-time show! Of course I didn't watch the game ~ I was even oblivious to what time it began ~ but I caught Madonna on YouTube. I'd had enough after 5 minutes. It was interesting to see the costume changes but I fear my attention span is the length of the time it takes to read the average blog post! LOL!

Aw, I missed this last week! I hope things got better! Did you get 12 jugs of milk on your doorstep?
