When ordinary cupcakes won't do...

Big cupcakes topped with little cupcakes are in order! In this case, to celebrate the official end of panty training for The Princess of the Potty. That's a real royal title, in case you're wondering.
You'll need a bag of miniature Reese's peanut butter cups. Discard the foil wrappers, ingest a few to make sure they're fresh, but keep the little brown paper cup on the rest of them. This enhances the teeny-tiny cupcake illusion we're going for.
Try to track down properly scaled sprinkles. For this event, Saucy located rainbow nonpareils and jumbo nonpareils. The right size keeps the illusion in check. For the cherries, Michaels carries Mary Engelbriet Cherry Berries. They're cute and perfect. You can even find larger round red candies in the summer candy bin, if you're lucky:
You see how Saucy did that? She kept it all to scale... oh, and she had brown cupcake papers, so that helped too.
She got busy with her Sharpie markers and went crazy decorating the cupcake box. It was, as she mentioned above, a very special occasion.
Remember how much Saucy lurrves handing out advice... even to unsuspecting two-year-olds that can't read yet.
Ooops, if you fill the box before you photograph the messages on the bottom, be prepared to hold it up at an awkward angle to capture it for the blog.
There's still time to enter the draw for the Flip HD video camera on the post below. Saucy is mailing out the Sweet Summer Cherry Lemonade charm bracelet swap kits today - and it is beautifully warm outside. The winner will be announced next week. Saucy needs to take a little time right now.
Another sweet giveaway is in the works soon, so heads up!

These are SO cute, and I am impressed with your pretty doodling on the packaging! I would have scanned it, I like it so much, and glue it on every box I send out. Love it!
Saucy big and small cupcakes have led to an overdose in cuteness...This blog is not diet friendly I suspect.
Love the idea!
Can a person be killed with adorable-ness? If so, I'm on my deathbed, Saucy.
DOES THIS MEAN YOU'RE TAKING A BREAK ALL WEEK?
:(
This is just adorable! I love what you did with the box...it's been saucified! :)
OMGosh! I love them! You've inspired me to make these to celebrate something this week!
Love to you,
Amy
These are adorable! How you continue to come up with such things just amazes me!!
WOW! Wish I had thought of that when my little one potty-trained at 4 (yes, 4).
Not much of a doodler, but I do a mean collage!
These are incredible! Hard to say which I love more - the cupcakes or the doodles! :)

Thank you so much sweet lady!! The princess was thrilled!
I agree with Kari! I've been planning on doing a summer mini album/ journal that may need some doodling!
I love how you can take a candy & turn it into a cupcake! The decorations on the box are so exquisite & heartfelt. Looking forward to getting my swap package.
Adorable!!! The cupcakes are fabulous, but OMG-- the doodling is incredible!!! I love it! Everything you create has such a special touch to it. You inspire me!

Jill

Too cute!!
um, ok, I am a little protective of all things saucy so I don't know if I should have my fur up about this or not....http://confessionsofacookbookqueen.blogspot.com/2010/05/cupcake-cupcake-toppers.html
but I thought I should let you know.
Funny, she mentions making those with the tiny and large heart sprinkles for Valentine's Day and that is what I did for one of the IronCupcake challenges last year... I planned to repost them here next February for my readers.
I've decided that all ideas on the internet and on these creative blogs get copied at one time or another... but it's happening on Facebook too! A reader of mine from Trinidad sent me this:
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=6036148&id=359129820399
... a baker over there has copied cupcakes right from my blog and posting them on her profile that she will take orders for them. Good luck to her! I used the recipe from the "Hello, Cupcake" book anyway. Gah.
Anon's link to a similar cupcake post on someone else's blog failed to mention that the other blog's post was made almost a month before Saucy's. :)
I don't know how I found this blog, but I am hooked! You are an amazing writer & you are so creative, thanks for sharing a little of you your world with me!!!
Yummmm, those Engelbreit cherry sprinkles are so heavenly!
I love it all. The cupcakes (big and small) and the doodling print! You are just way too talented for one person! xo
I'm over hear SCREAMING at how dang cute these are!! Saucy, you are a wonder!
