speckled egg nesting swap

Saucy just might be breaking the rules... what else is new... but she is about to post images of the swap packages that she made for her group partners Nerina, Cathy and Lynn. Ladies, if you want to be surprised when your parcel arrives, avert your eyes.

The swap was hosted by Heather at Speckled Egg. Each swapper was asked to fill a decorated matchbox with crafty, vintage items with the inspired theme of nesting. How it all worked out, Saucy wonders, that her swap goods and the packaging are rife with the colour palate of robin's egg blue, red and moss green? She was simply drawn to these things as she gathered, and when it was time to assemble... there it was.

Here are Saucy's finished decorated matchboxes... even the brand fit the theme of the swap. Thank you, Canadian Tire.

But alas, Canadian Tire doesn't sell many things glittery, and so Saucy had to apply the red bird's sparkles herself before packaging up the goods.

By the way... does anyone need 750 loose matches without a box for striking?

Inside... Saucy won't ruin the entire show. There are goodies piled deep within.

She will show you this much: she created a special limited-edition (only three in the world) nesting theme charm bracelet for each of her swap partners.

Saucy worked in the craft room today and it felt good. Good to be organized, good to listen to music while she worked, and good to be in proximity to the laundry room to keep an eye on that business while she got the swap together.

She will be deep into the craft room over the next few days as the weather is supposed to take a late spring turn for the worst. What will keep you indoors over the next while, Dear Reader?

The bracelets and boxes are gorgeous! We are suppose to have some rain today. I need to start crafting again as well. Going to workout I think! Then clean up from everyone being lazy and sick the last week. ;-/

Just bad weather, Saucy. I'm an outside bird as soon as the thaw comes! Much to do out there...

Lucky ladies that get those gorgeous bracelets.

I'm off this week, Easter break, so I've been spring cleaning, I love organizing kitchen cupboards and hall closet! We are having quite the wind storm in Regina today, so I think that calls for cuddling up on the couch with a blanket, reading my new Alice Munro book.

Saucy, those are gorgeous! Okay, I call for a full tour of your craft room now that it's all re-organized. We want details, with copious amounts of photographs! Can I get a second on this?

I want to delve deep into my craftroom too - your time sounds so serene!

I will be sewing little ipod cases and crocheting hats :)

It's storming and blowing wet snow out there - with high wind warnings but I have the chance to meet up with a high school friend who is visiting from New Mexico... I bet this weather has jolted her back in time! I'm venturing out to the post office to send out the last of my Etsy orders (I'm sold out right now but will restock soon) and then a cup of hot chocolate is calling my name!

I did a charm bracelet tutorial a while back, you can find it in my sidebar. If anyone wants a repeat, I can set up another - I will be in heavy bracelet mode next week!!

those look amazing Saucy, as always I am loving your style! I made poor little Sprout endure 20 minutes of fabric boredom today so I could make a little something I'll post about in the next day or two-I think you'll like it!

Love the bracelets and I know the lucky recipients will too. The weather in Edmonton is frightful. We got 5 cm of snow overnight and a cold wind has kept me indoors today. I got my house cleaned, organized our closets and am now making home-made pizza for dinner.

I just love all the things that you create but your charm bracelets are particularly special.

Did you ever realize that you excel at things that start with "ch", charm bracelets, cheerios and cheerleading and cupcakes... oh you know what I mean!!

I've been away so eventhough the weather is lovely i have to stay in to clean.
I will reward myself tonite, though, with some studio time making Spring themed cards and painting notecards for a summer show i am going to do.

I'll be going through everything that I own in an attempt to down-size before our move in a month. It's incredibly refreshing to be able to pack only the things we will need and to know exactly where everything is!

I keep checking your etsy shop...how do I get my grubby little hands on one of those? Super cute!!

If I can get my act together later this week there will be new, summery charm bracelets in my Etsy!

That is, if I can get my act together. That's asking a lot.
