the winning luck continues

Saucy rarely enters blog giveaways. She loves reading random comments on blogs, but she shies away from leaving entry comments. Mostly it's because she doesn't want to look greedy, especially if she is a new reader to the blog and she thinks that maybe the blogger is rewarding regular readers.

That changed when she stumbled upon the work of Elle Moss while surfing Flickr one night... and followed a link to her blog. If you peruse her work, you'll understand why Saucy couldn't resist leaving a comment to enter. Saucy entered because... she really, really wanted to win.

Can you imagine how thrilled Saucy was to learn that she was the winner of the blog draw and can choose an 8x8 or and 8x10 print from the alice b gardens Etsy shop! Thrilled.

And now comes the tricky part... deciding which of the images to choose. How to narrow it down? They are all just gorgeous.

Please Dear Reader, if you consider yourself a friend, help Saucy narrow this choice down as she is suffering from a terrible head cold and can barely think straight. Even with the strength of all her faculties, she would be hard pressed to make a decision in this situation.

Can you see why? Buttons, people. In a vintage dish. Pastel buttons, no less.

Saucy lurrves conversation hearts... but you knew that.

Drop Saucy a note with your suggestion... and as a gesture to pay it forward, Saucy will send you a little something too... one of the new pieces she is working on for her own Etsy shop. She's decided to call this one One Lucky Shilling and as soon as she finds the right vintage ribbon bit to tie on it, she'll send it your way, hoping it brings you the same good fortune that has been around here lately.

And some more news:

As Matthew Mead prepares to publish Holiday With Matthew Mead 2010, he has invited a group of "blog experts" to be featured in the publication and Saucy has been invited to be on the panel.

Head over to Holiday with Matthew Mead to find out how you can win the opportunity to have your blog or online shop mentioned in the magazine. Holiday with Matthew Mead is a "book-azine" celebrating and offering inspiration for the Christmas holiday season. To be released in October 2010, Holiday is offered via online orders only - in limited quantities - and will not be sold on newsstands. But, by simply following the BUY HOLIDAY MAGAZINE link below their banner, you can reserve your own copy of this beautiful magazine, with guaranteed delivery of the magazine straight to your mailbox! Holiday with Matthew Mead is 144 pages of holiday inspiration with well-known and admired designers, bloggers and top-notch features, printed on beautiful paper and not drowning in ads.

Now, head on over for your chance to win. After, of course, you enter to win one of Saucy's Ephemera Necklaces by helping her choose a print from Alice B. Gardens. Seriously, isn't this fun?

Congratulations on your win!! Gorgeous photos! I love buttons... so I would go with that one myself - BUT - I associate you with cupcakes - so the cupcakes on the pedestal dishes I think for you! ;-)

I also like the cupcakes on the cake stand, or the ones with the flowers and pearls. The conversation hearts would be my 3rd choice. I would steer away from the girl with the balloons because it was freaking me out.

I really like the buttons one.... very very cool. I need to get me some vintage buttons so I can sew them on my throw cushions i want to make....it is inspiring me to get on that :)
And, congrats on yours and the cheerios big win! I actually teared up reading your post! you must be so proud!

I love the ice cream chairs print (very first one) and the cup with the conversation hearts!

I almost never "comment to win" either, but I just HAD to on this one for a couple of reasons. #1 those images are just beautiful, and #2 that necklace you did is so adorable that I WANT IT!! I'm hoping that the very first image with the scroll chairs is in the running...it's my favorite. To me it looks like it could be outside a little bake shop in Paris (and the Parisians are now just as wild about cupcakes as we are here in the West) and I imagine myself sitting in one of those chairs having a cupcake and some tea with a best girlfriend during our "girls only trip" to Paris one Spring. Dreamy!

Congrats! I can see why your decision is difficult. I personally love the chairs (I even know where I would hang it in my house, but we are talking about what you should choose so...) I think the vintage buttons is the one for you... converstation hearts would be my next choice. I also found the girl with the balloons a tad creepy... just something about it.

You must be so proud to be a part of "Holiday with Mathew Mead". A well deserved honour!

thanks for paying it forward :)

Wow, they're ALL "you", aren't they? A hard choice indeed! Still, I think the one with conversation hearts screams *Saucy!!* the most.

Congrats on the win, and also on being chosen for the panel - rock on!

Feel better soon my friend.

I like the one with the sprinkled buttons and glitter on what look like iced cupcakes - it is creative, very pretty, and there is more going on the more you look at it - like you

Wow! This is a hard decision for you. My eye keeps heading towards the buttons although I also like the conversation hearts and it reminds me of the last swap party you hosted.

the conversation hearts should be your pick, or the buttons for your new and improved craft room! Oh the choices!!!

How exciting to be a part of that Holiday Book!

Okay, I have NO idea how you will choose the print (you and I should do this and sell prints together)... ummm...I LOVE them all, too... but I narrowed them down to the first one with the chairs, cupcake stand, the English roses, and the girl with the balloons. Those are my favs, when I think about you... I think it is more about the 'way' that the photos are shot and manipulated, rather than the subject.

Also when thinking about it try to choose based on what you want to do with the photo, where you want to put it, etc.

Hope that helps!
Love,
Angela

Hello Saucy,
First congratulations to the Cheerios! Loved that post and all the photos. I think that the tea cup with the conversation hearts is the clear choice. Why? Isn't your daughter's birthday in February? And isn't it a tradition to include conversation heart goodies for her? And doesn't the photo say "Angel" and "Me & You"? This photo was made for the two of you.

Congratulations! I vote for the etheral rose bushes. Beautiful.

The conversation hearts really remind me of you, but i love the first picture of the wire chairs. It feels like a Parisian cafe and would look great in your studio with the other Paris stuff.

Congratulations on your win. Those pictures are lovely. I like all the pictures but I would pick the really fancy cupcake tops or the hearts in the teacup for you.

Hugs Karen

I like the two with tea cups. But they are all really nice. I can see why you would have a hard time. Congrats on the mag and the cheerios win.

Awesomeness....

Congrats on the Cheerios win!

I really liked the white iced cupcakes...so simple and clean...but I thought to myself, "Saucy probably has a gazillion pictures of her very own cupcakes." So that won't do. I think the winner is the one with the buttons. It's very cheerful and crafty!

Oh Saucy! How I love you and the lovely things you share! This is my first time commenting. I'm currently looking for art to adorn the walls of my new sewing studio and how I love the little dish of buttons photo.

Thank you so much for sharing a new artist with me!

Congratulations Saucy on your BIG WIN! It never gets old does it?! Nope! (Smile)

The very first picture just says Saucy to me. It makes me think of you and Veto in Paris, drinking coffee with perhaps a pastry or cupcake, talking and enjoying some quiet time together.

And.... congratulations again on the holiday feature!

I like the 2nd one...the cupcakes on the pedestal dishes. I love the way the photo has been taken...looks like it's through a window...love it!

I love your jewelry and would be thrilled to win!!

Well, I love the first one, the chair reminds me of Spring, but then again, you love cupcakes and those are some wonderful pictures. But then again, it's not everyday there is a perfect picture with buttons in it. I say buttons!

Saucy, I think the buttons most make me think of you. I can see the print on your wall in the craft room. Your winning streak really inspires me because just a few weeks ago you were really down but you didn't let that keep you from leading your Cheerios not only to compete but gave them life lessons as well. Well done! We all can gain strengh from you with your passion, creativity and love.

Love the photos! My favorite is the English roses but I do adore the buttons. And the conversation hearts just seem "saucy"! I went to her Etsy shop and found about five or six prints that I want right now! Good luck on choosing that perfect print for you!

I love the cupcake picture with the pearls and flowers. Not much background to distract. It's all cupcake!!!

Congratulations! It's even more exciting to win when you hardly ever enter! I know you didn't post this as one of your choices, but I LOVE the chandelier print titled "Somewhere". Next choice has to be the conversations hearts in the teacup..."Me and You"...so Saucy!!

Definitely the cupcake photo! Framed in a white with dusted gold accents vintage frame would make it to die for!!!

The cupcake stand is definitely the way to go. THEY'RE CUPCAKES! You cant turn them down.

While I def. get the cupcake thing - I think that the buttons or the conversation hearts. I can honestly just see either of them hanging in your craft room. It would so add to the whimsy of that space. Congrats, what a lovely prize

MJ said...

The tiered cupcakes would look lovely in your kitchen. I was tempted by the conversational hearts, and, actually, a number of others as well (including the buttons & the cafe chairs), but the tiered cupcakes speak of you.

Taija said...

Oh my! I can see why you are having a hard time deciding! I love so many of them! Congrats!! Any of them will look lovely in your creative space. I like the buttons or the parlor chairs... or the conversation hearts, and oh those sweet cupcakes on the pedistal... sorry I'm no help! Have fun choosing!

Thanks, Peeps!

I made my decision, with your help! I've decided on the cupcakes on a stand along with the teacup full of hearts. They'll look smashing framed together won't they?

Now all I have to decide is: craft room or kitchen?
