Yes, I absolutely managed to decorate the house yesterday and today. By process of elimination, the theme ended up being red and green with some lime green thrown in for good measure, just because I had it all on hand from other projects.
If you recognize those glittered words from the dollar bins at Michael's you're right.
If you recognize the crazy garlands and the floral picks from the Dollarama, you're also right.
If you recognize the funky sayings like "Let it snow" and "ho ho ho" from Giant Tiger, you're right again.
If I find the time, I'm going to tie some lime green ribbons around the necks of my apothecary jars.
Before it was all finished and styled, it looked like a tornado hit the house. Boxes and Tupperware were opened everywhere, with me mixing and matching whatever I could to make it all work together.
Some red lights, some green. Some of the red lights are so old, they're starting to look pink.
Those are really the best shots I can get of the living room. When you get right down to it, our house is pretty dark. Old houses have small windows - and while I love having lots of wall space for hanging art, in the winter there isn't enough light to get good photographs without a flash... and I hate to use my flash, don't you?

Do I get fired as a friend for not visiting as often as I should? EVERYTHING is just beautiful and amazing!! Since I am so burned out from going back to school and now decorating can I just book to come to your house next year so I can pass on all the work? LOL! Can't wait to see more holiday pictures of your AMAZING talents!
xoxo Happy Holidays!
Totally prefer NO flash, too, sister! I'm asking for a flash diffuser for Christmas to make my flash photography a little less harsh.
Your house looks amazing for the holidays! I like to leave my Christmas decor up until Jan. 6th (the 12th day of Christmas!) What about you?
I LOVE the jar decor!
Your home looks so festive and inviting (hint hint!!!) Have a lovely Christmas. Merry Christmas to the Fan too X
Forgot to say Im a flasher!!! LOL!
Wow your decor for the holidays is truly beautiful! And I love how cheap (pricewise only, it has great visual impact) some of the pieces are. Being on a super mega strict budget, I find this really inspiring!!
I have also fallen head over heels for your apothecary jars and how absolutely lovely and versatile they are! On my list of things to purchase when they're on sale and I have money...those jars!!
Have a merry and magical Christmas.

Beautiful! You done good.
I tried putting my Christmas boxes and whatnot away yesterday, but it didn't work. So things still look pretty tornado-y around here.
Incredible! I thought about dragging my apothecary jars out NOW I know I HAVE to! =) I was actually wondering how you got such good pictures of the tree! I HATE flash but if I don't use the flash it's blurry! =)
I also don't like using my flash, I only turn it on if I absolutely have to. Your house looks spectacular! Love how you manage to pull everything together! Some day I am going to have to come to one of your bracelet making tutorials and see it IRL!
Your holiday home is beautiful !!!!
I have lots of windows in my house (comes with living in Phoenix with all the sunshine.) I have 12 foot ceiling so my artwork is hung in layers- the only way I can get it all hung up! Since my mom died, my dad brings me up some of her favorties from his house from time to time.
Merry Christmas dear Saucy girl!!
Looks great!
Saucy, you did a great job decorating. Everything looks lovely.
Wishing all of you a wonderful Christmas.
Hugs Karen
Looks lovely - you are a great stylist - very festive - enjoy
Absolutely beautiful! A very merry Christmas to you! :)
So lush and lovely--the lime green is a great touch. Merry Christmas, Saucy!
I love how you stuff the tree chock full. I need to let go and do that. The only thing I still had left to do was the garlands on the stair banisters. Daisy & her sleepover guest will be doing it for me now after LOVING your decor!
Thanks for that.
Very, very pretty and just in the nick of time! Etsy will have to close up shop earlier next year.
No tree in Loopys room this year? Or... it's coming!
looks lovely!
I wanted a themed tree of black and red, but once the kids put all their decorations on ( my Mom gives them two every Christmas and mine from when I was little) the tree was full....I did manage to place a few black balls on it to anchor the wild colors of the ornaments! and only, ONLY white lights. My Mom(a florist) always had themed trees with bits of flowers, ribbons, glittery sticks and a vintage topper (it belonged to her Grandma)
and it seems once you wrap your stairs with garland and top your kitchen cupboards with lights garland and ornaments--- it seems so warm and cozy.
Enjoy your Christmas =)
Yeah, I hate to use a flash, too. But your pictures are lovely and your holiday decor shines despite the dark photos! ;-)
Looks good! Sorry about the pop-in, I just didn't want to leave the packages in the snow... the Starbucks one is for Loopy! Merry Christmas Eve Eve (as Jenn says).
you did it! good job gal! I looove the twist of lime!
That is just GORGEOUS! Where on earth did you get the lime christmas lights? Wanna come decorate my tree?!
I do hate using the flash! Your decorations are very pretty. I like the lime green addition. Merry Christmas :)
It turned out lovely, so glad you had time to help you house feel festive and cozy!

Yahoo! Just in the nick of time! Looks lovely!
Congrats!!! Knew you'd get decorated! Thanks for sharing the pics... have a WONDERFUL holiday.
It looks fabulous & so stylish! Only you could pull together such a fabulous look in 2 days time. I hope that you & your family have a very Merry Christmas!
I KNEW you's pull it off!! Yeah! Enjoy every minute with your family!!
Beautiful! What you can do in a whirlwind would take me weeks. Merry Christmas! xoxo, Lisa
My flash is my nemesis. Your house looks amazing. I want to live there.
You amaze me--able to pull it all together in no time at all. It takes me about a month to put up and a day to take down! ha. Everything is so lovely.
