the great art exchange

When my pal Amy offered me a spot in The Great Art Exchange last month, I decided to give it a go, even though it was sort of set up like a chain letter... you send one goodie to the person at the top of the list, remove their name, add yours to the bottom and send copies to six crafty friends.

I thought at the time, "this could be a disaster or this could be wonderful, and Amy is taking a part in it so I guess I should hedge me bets on wonderful..."

Friends, do you want to know just how wonderful it was?

This wonderful little package arrived from Vallen at Queenly Things.  Queenly, indeed. And if I insist that photographs don't do the wrist cuff justice, you will have to believe me. It's been so overcast here these days that even my usual window light isn't enough to capture the loveliness of this piece but perhaps you will take a little trip over to her blog and see everything there for yourself. It's pretty wonderful, that's for sure.

Oh, and that little wool-tatted rose? I lurrve it. I hope everyone around me does, too, because it's going to be planted firmly on my shoulder all winter long.

I'm participating in the Exchange as well, and had/have the same trepidations about doing a "chain letter". Looks like you've received a very nice piece. Should be interesting to see what we all get.

You lucky gal! I can't figure it out though, does it have snaps or does it tie in a bow? Perhaps you could model it on your wrist?

How COOL! I've never ever gotten anything out of those kinds of exchanges. I swear, the chain always breaks on me. I have decades of bad luck in my future, too, no doubt.

I hope you're nicer than Sue on Glee is to her Cheer-i-os! :)

Enjoy your new job!

Keep us posted if you get anything else in the chain.

I have to say, you got a little busier and I am a little bummed out. I really need to read a Saucy post to get my fix daily. COME BACK TO US!!

Not to worry... busy just means that I've been getting lots of things done to share with you but I'm at that point where I am 95% done several things. Look forward to a series of pretty good posts over the next two weeks, if I can finish some things up later today.

Plus, the sun might be shining here and that bodes well for taking pictures of things for the blog.

Will you be putting Christmas/Holiday bracelets in your Etsy? I need a gift for an exchange.
