the face of destruction

Deer Dad,

Wuntz again I iz so sorry an here I am makin more apologeez for the bad thingz I duz. I iz so, so, sorry about chewin on your nice new sunglasses, the onez you just got there a while back ago.

I new I wuz in trubble juz the minnit you took Mum on that bookstore date together you had an then you came outta there with more of those Jonas Bruthers magizenes for Loopy an, I know, I wuz only in your car for that cupple of minnits, but I juz couldn't help myself, juz like them little cakes of Mums... I juzt had no resistence whatsoevers.

Anyways, how nice wuz that lady at the Sunglass Hut, makin' good on her promise to replace them glasses if somthin bad happenz in the first ninety days and here we are, lucky for me, an I don even know how many ninety iz but I iz thinkin' iz my lucky number.
Looves,
Dooke

P.S. It wuz the Sunglass Hut in Midtown Plaza, an Dad, yooze iz so smart to shop there, an now we know why.

Sneak preview of the latest Loopy photo shoot: I relinquished the camera to Loopy's father, The Plaintiff (a professional photographer) for this shoot. I was still the stylist, wardrobe matron and makeup artist. Loopy had her hair done at Andrew's earlier in the day... yes, those are bangs.

Veto and Duke swung by after they hit the Sunglass Hut, we were shooting on the site of the former Folk's Finer Furs across from the mall. And yes, the Sunglass Hut did indeed replace Veto's shades under their 90-day "no hassle" warranty policy. Duke's next note: a letter of thanks to the Sunglass Hut. They saved his life.

I am splitting a gut at your story about Duke! If only dogs could talk, I think he would sound like that. I think he's really sorry!LOL!

Whew, Duke! That was another close one! I bet those glasses were crunchy! I hope that you didn't eat any glass as that could cause extra troubles!

Glad to see J. got to spend time with Loopy before she starts school again!

Duke is one lucky dawg. I bet he chewed just enough to find out that they weren't as yummy as mommy's cakes. :)

I just spat my coffee out! I love me some Duke, he is the smartest dog on the planet! I think he should have more of a say on your blog too! Can't wait to see the Plaintiff's (LOL!) Loopy shoot.

If that isn't a sorry look on his face, I don't know what is! We had an episode recently with one of our dogs and a bird book. I guess it was too tempting! That Duke is such a cutie!

Duke and my lab Bella would be BFF. Bella has taken to "counter surfing" in the kitchen lately when I'm in another room. Last week the death toll came to: 1 package of hot dog buns, two chicken enchiladas, a bowl of cereal, a bagel with cream cheese and three cupcakes. Yeah... some days she's lucky she's still here! :)

Love it when we hear from Duke, just sorry about the circumstances. Glad the Sunglass Hut made it good in the end. We lost a package of smoked chicken yesterday right off the counter. The best advice I ever read in a dog training book was: You can give dogs human characteristics but in the end, they are dogs. You just can't fight doggie nature. I tried to remember that when my designer reading glassed were found in pieces in the back yard (never missed them) and my leopard print Mephisho sandles were eaten. Still love my dog Scout Finch the wacadoodle doodle.

Oh no, that's too funny. Glad they replaced the sunglasses! I woke up at midnight on Moday to find my dog, Chevy chewing up my expensive Born loafers.

He looked oh, so innocent with his sad spaniel eyes!

I wish my brand new couches would have had the same warranty! Naughty puppies. I can't wait to see the shoot-if for nothing else-to see the bangs. I hate my DD's bangs, but mostly because she spends a lot of time doing the swoop-with her hands, with a flip of the neck, etc. Drives me batty.

You crack me up woman! Duke needs to send Sunglasses Hut a darn card!

Oh..and Veto needs to invest in a hard case for his sunglasses should he ever need to leave them in the car with Duke again.

Duke looks really sorry, I'm glad Sunglass Hut was able to save him. He deserves a second chance to redeem himself!

Also, I snorted coffee out my nose when you referred to Loopy's Dad as The Plaintiff. HILARIOUS.

Dear Duke,

It's not your fault. Your Pop wanted to have the glasses. He left them for you. At least that is what I say to the girls when she leaves her pens around.

Yours in Dogdom.

I think I have been time travelling!!!! I swear I check your blog in the morning and at night (and sometimes noon too) How could I have missed your Wed thurs and friday posts. Thankfully I squeaked into the charm swap with an emergency call to my son in Toronto to get me through Etsy and paypal. Don't you just love Duke's "I know I am in big trouble - please take pity on me" look. Looking forward to see the "professional" shots of Loopy.

Duke's letter... priceless!
