We got ready for our party on Halloween night... can you guess who I was? Are you more than just a little nervous?

The little children weren't terribly frightened of me... but they didn't like me, either. One little trick o' treater exclaimed, "I have a puppy at home, don't you come over!"

Whatever, kid. I've got people coming for a party. Must practice my crazy face.

Loopy was a character from the Wii video game, We Cheer. She looks anime, don't you think?

It must be the super-fly pink hair and poms. She worked it! The glittery false eyelashes did the trick, too.

Inside, the table is ready for our guests... anyone care for a brain cupcake? They are del.ic.ious.

Perhaps I could offer you a refreshing glass of dirty dishwater punch. It's a mixture of lemonade, pink lemonade, limeade, rainbow sherbet and club soda. Let it sit a while and foam up before serving... don't forget to put a dish scrubber in the bowl.

Chocolate dipped pretzel rods and Rice Krispie squares:

Not to mention my famous earwax on a swab:

We set up a photo studio in the front porch to photograph the guests as they arrived. Alexandra was voted "best costume" for her lululemon devil:

We had a sassy cowgirl!

A dead pirate cat! Whatever that is.

More devils! Some devils don't like having their photos taken:

The Cookie Monster came, with her own cookies in tow. As if she needed to bring cookies to this party.

Another little devil...

A very original interpretation of a secret agent...

... a stealth Ninja/catburglar...

a flesh-eating zombie...

... and yet another little devil! They must travel in herds...

Some kids just can't help being cute, no matter what costume they don:

... and some have a flair for the theatric and love posing as zombie brides:

Of the entire class, only ONE boy arrived. Trust me, we were cool with that. One boy + all the girls = no broken dishes or decorations.

Timo, take off that horrible, creepy mask so we can see your face!

Awesome costumes. I bet everyone had a fabulous time. I think you are probably the coolest mom E.V.E.R.
Great party and I love the costumes!!
Only yo (and Sassy) would have a photostudio set up for guests!!
Only one boy...i am surprised!! I thought more would take up the chance to hang out with girls and great food! Clearly they don't read your blog to see all the great treats you whipped up!
I LOVE your costume. You look so evil and yes, a little crazy. I wish I was at your party last night. I was stuck at home passing out candy which wasn't as much fun as I anticipated.
I got your card in the mail this week. It was the PERFECT moment as I was having a nasty day and it brought a smile to your face. Sorry for not commenting lately, but I've been following. Love all the Halloween goodness.
What a great party, and love, love, love Cruella! Gotta get some glitter false eyelashes - those are sparkly cute! The brain cupcakes are so clever - the whole party was clever!

Your party looks like it was fun! Alas, I was over run NOT by trick-or-treaters, but GERMS this year. The kids got tons of candy, while I ate Sudafed and Advil as if they WERE candy. Not a fun trick!

And your party looked so much fun; I wish I were there!
Oh how I delight in reading your blog and how disappointed I am in reading your recent post on "obama". And I thought your were enlightened...shameful and embarrassing. Please re educate yourself politically.
WOW...I am dumfounded at you last post. obama??? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING! please Saucy-do a little homework....shameful
What a DARLING post! My vote for best costume is LOOPY, of course.
2nd place definitely goes to the Cookie Monster! Your Cruella was spot on! (get it...spot on?...I crack myself up!)
Your the coolest mom ever! setiing up a party like that. My favorite costume was Cookie Monster! That is so creative. But the zpmbie bride was pretty great too. You and Loopy's costumes were so cute!
You inspire me to have a Halloween party this year. Your so very creative! Love the cupcakes...Earwax on a swab was that peanut butter on a marshmallow or caramel?
Love the sticks used as the "sticks" of the apples.

Your costume is the greatest! All those little puppies attached to the shawl are too funny.
Best of all, my middle child can't stand to hear anything about earwax, toes, or dandruff. I will be making your Q-tips just for her this October.

Wow that Halloween party looks fantastic. It is by far my favorite holiday so I think this is one of my favorite posts. I love that the little kid told you not to come over! I dressed up as Mrs.Incredible last year and one little girl screamed and latched onto my leg and asked me to stretch for her. It was so cute. That is alot of devils though! And the brain cupcakes looked gross but I bet they tasted good haha. The Q-Tips! That makes me shudder just thinking about the name but yet again, I'm sure they were tasty.
