how charming!

Today Sweet Cousin Sassy and I held our first girl's toggle party! We collected Halloween charms for two weeks or more. We met at her dad's restaurant and took over a booth to put the toggle bracelets together!

We both found great goodies for the bracelets... Loopy and I made candy corn from sculpting clay and glittered it up. We drilled holes in Scrabble tiles, typewriter and keyboard keys, little skulls and more. Maybe you want one of these bad boys for yourself? You're in luck! Sweet Sassy is holding her first giveaway. Hop on over to enter and you can look just like one of us... cousins, aunties, mothers, daughters, nieces (Grandma and Nana were there too) and bloggers!

It was tricky work but the afternoon flew by! The girls enjoyed themselves. Notice that Loopy never once put down the Jonas Brothers book that The Fan brought back from Europe.

Modeling our new Halloween fashions. Reeeallly. You would just die to have one of these, would you not?

On the way home, I couldn't resist the sight of Loopy wearing her hat from Urban Outfitters that she talked me into on the hottest day in July.

I will fill up the shoebox this week and get it ready to drop off at Safeway. We're filling it up for a little girl... lipgloss, hard candy, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a soft new facecloth, soap, pencils and erasers, note pads, and some sort of bracelet (of course)! Are you filling a shoebox this year?

am I the first again? Love the bracelets - I know Jenn should skip over to Sassy's blog and try to claim one for herself. Loopy is beautiful as always.

I've never heard of the shoebox thing and we have Safeway here, so I'd better check it out. Thanks for checking on me. Yep, I've been ill, but much better now. Your charm bracelets are adorable. So much fun. This is an idea to keep stored away for a "maybe" day :)

We filled a shoebox last year when my daughter's school collected, hope they do it this year again.
I simply have to go over to Sassy's blog now, those bracelets are to DIE for! Ha ha!

Love the bracelets!! Great job girls! Loopy is so lucky that she looks good in a hat, not all of us can pull it off!

Your bracelet rocks! I can't believe you made the candy corn. Wait a minute, of course I can. Isn't Urban Outfitters a fun place?

The bracelets are GREAT!! I think I'll try Christmas bracelets. Where do I even start to look for charms... that aren't gold or silver?? I love the Sculpey idea and the scrabble letters! But, I love a quest... so the hunt will be part of the fun. I'll share when I finish... promise. Any hints you'd like to share??

Loopy is beautiful!! Looks like she should be doing some modeling. She has that special something!

Loopy looks so Vogue! I love the hat.

Lurrrv, the bracelets!

And I just LOVE Samaritan's Purse.

Loopy wore her hat to school and one of the girls told her she looked like an elf! Then she snatched the hat off her head and WORE it so obviously being an elf isn't that bad! Oh, and she pulled on Loopy's new toggle bracelet and broke it. Good thing Sassy is coming over tonight, we can make a quick repair!

Girls are so mean and weird.

Nasty girl. I can't believe the behaviour of that girl in middle school.

However, what a great bracelet! And, even better, wonderful memories! What a fun idea to keep in mind for the future!

Hi Saucy :)

Those bracelets are really cute! Love Loopy's hat!!

I just caught up on your blog and I wish I could just follow you around all day. You have so much fun :)

We have mean girls here too. I don't understand why they have to be that way. Tell Loopy she's gorgeous and that they're jealous and that I said so... hmpf!

Welcome home The Fan and The Secret Weapon!!

Hugs,
rue

It takes a certain je ne sais pas to wear such a stylish hat. Loopy has it.

savvy bracelets, very nice!
btw-lurrve loopy's hat...

~If you have time over the next week, please take some head to toe shots of her so I can start working on the new piece. Usually if you place her in front of a solid color wall, that works best in this line of work. Because I'll have to extract her from the photo to place her in the scenery I'll later use. That will work out so much easier.:)

thanks again darlin!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I certainly enjoyed checking out yours! What cute bracelets and a gorgeous "Loopy" in the hat. She really has model written all over her. I love Saskatoon even though I haven't been there for years. We lived in Sidney, Montana for 5 years and ventured across the border several times. Thanks for reviving those memories. Sally

These photos are gorgeous! She should really be a model. She would look beautiful in those magazines for Alloy or delias or for Charolette russe or something. Love that hat! This is a cool idea. I've never heard of it either.

so excited to paint her...you could always dress her up as Marie Antoinette. ;)
