it's giveaway time!

To celebrate our first week of being Amy's inspired friends, we are having a little giveaway. Up for grabs is one of Loopy's famous bag n'tag albums. This one is puppy dog themed and would be perfect for pictures of Fido or Muffy. There are so many spots for stashing photos and plenty of tags for journaling, too. It really is delightful. To enter, just leave a comment for Loopy on this post. Perhaps you might like to suggest a new photo shoot idea for us... the weather is supposed to be wonderful this weekend.

And hey, how about a quick and easy cookie recipe, just in time for the back-to-school blues? This recipe uses something we all have in our cabinet - a cake mix. Loopy and Buddy Budderson love these cookies, they've been whipping them up since they could hold a whisk. Simply combine one box of your favourite Devil's food cake mix with 1/2 cup softened butter and 2 eggs. Form into 1" balls... they roll nicely. Spin them around in some granulated sugar - and maybe some sprinkles! Of course, sprinkles. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes and leave to cool on the cookie sheet before moving them to a rack.

If stored in a jar, these babies stay moist and gooey. If not they get crispy-crackly... but they never last long. I mean, never.

Love anything dog or cat related - what a nice job Loopy did on the giveaway! Cookies look yummy and easy too.

Probably too early for leaves changing - how about a photo shoot with apples since it is apple season!

Hey Saucy! I get so many great ideas from you! I need your help though! My daughter's 1st birthday is coming up and we're having a big bash. Pink and Lime stripes and polka dots is theme. My big question....I need some ideas on cute ways to lay out or display the plastic forks and spoons. I never know what to do with that type of stuff when I have casual type parties. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch!!

aaww, how cute is that? what a great job!

I like the woods and streams for photos, but you've already done that, how about a commercial building? or a building site? some of those might look really cool.

Loopy do you like it too? What has your favorite shoot been?

Loop how CUTE!!! We have 4 furry friends, and Sunshine would just LOVE putting their pictures in something like that!

Saucy, I was JUST thinking of those cake mix cookies last night! LOL I've never made chocolate, we'll have to make those this weekend.

As for a photo shoot, I have no suggestions, but I'm sure whatever you come up with will be FABULOUS!

Have a great weekend girls!

Hey Loopy,

You would look great doing a photo shoot on the University grounds.
Some of the leaves are changing already and there are so many places to take photos.

Nice job on the album. I love to do these kinds of scrapbooking projects.

Hi Loopy! Our Parley would die for some doggie snacks.

And, not knowing all of your past photoshoots, it could be fun to do the princess and the pea. Or, something ballerina-esque. Toe shoes and tutus are such fun and make for great pics :). I'm a little girlie that way. Just why I had 2 boys I suppose.

Beautiful cookies. A little pink makes everything better.

WoW-Sers! That is adorable, Loopy! My dog has....three scrapbooks already but he can always use more, he's just that special! He's a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and makes me feel like a queen EVERY day!

I once again bow down your craftiness. And Loopy, you do wonderful work, I saw the ones over at Inspireco! We have made the cookies before but I am partial to the yellow or white cake mixes, especially with the ones that already have the sprinkles in the batter. Nummy!

We put cream cheese icing inbetween two cookies and have "homemade Oreos". Can't you just see the pretty pink icing oozing out of these!?

I think that we are heading out to Beaver Creek this weekend for some pictures. Maybe we'll see you then!

And Saucy, you have inspired me to start up another blog about my own craftiness. I'll let you know when it's up and ready for visitors!

Great job, Loopy! I think you should do a photo shoot outside just hanging out in some of the leaves that are changing colour. (The university grounds or Meewasin might be nice locations with lots of leaves?!)

Love it Loopy! Really cool idea!!!

Oooh and the cookies. Must make those.

As for a photo shoot? Hmmmm. Anywhere along the river, as you well know, is beautiful now.

I love the idea of capturing change and transformation. With changes in color only just beginning, maybe you could incorporate that kind of a theme - if Loopy is on the verge of change.

Loopy, the paper bag album is fabulous! I think you should do a photo shoot in the Arbor Creek Park. The leaves are an awesome colour, and it looks great against the water.

Sasha, I'm at the farm this week, but let's get together this following week. I'm free in mornings. email me or call whatever works best! Leica

Seeing as Halloween is nearly here you could try your hand (or head!) at something like this...http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg.asp?set=recent&gallery=2&cmd=display&layout_id=1391543

Those paper bag books are just awesome Loopy, you are so creative!

Today was Talk Like a Pirate Day- Loopy et al would have been great in a pirate themed shoot!

Who would walk the plank?

Just found your blog and really enjoying all the past posts and looking forward to the future ones... I absolutely LOVE taking pictures of my 9 year old daughter. Unfortunately, she is now getting to the point where she is hating having to pose for me :(

How about some kind of shot that shows motion... dancing, spinning, running... I like the pirate idea too !

I am SUPPOSED to be packing (don't tell Mr. Bunny that I'm on here) but I had to pop in and say Loopy is super talented and those cookies look yum. I will have to try them with some fabulous milk free cake mix, but don't worry I'll use extra sprinkles to make up for it.

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for letting me use your picture on my M&M Cookies page. I have changed the link to the one for your blog, as requested.

I wasn't too sure where to post this note but a cookie post seemed appropriate! Your blog is fantastic!
