The quality of light near the river at about 5:30 p.m. is just so beautiful. We slipped down for some shots yesterday.

It's hard for Loopy not to be a Squinty Squinterson when the light is low but still, look at the beautiful way the background is lit and there is just something about the colour of the light at that time of the day.

What a great way to commemorate this day! Happy Grade 8, Loopy!
Very nice. I can't wait to get mine all groomed and outfitted for school and start shooting. We live within waking distance and the two oldest are going to school together for the first time this year, so I was thinking on the weekend we may spend sometime at the school, a beautiful old brick building from the turn of the century) shooting.
Thanks for the inspiration.

Beautiful shots...easy when you have such a beautiful model!
I love the forth and seventh in particular.
Oh, how I'm longing to go on a photo expedition! FUN! I love that last shot!
I passed on an award to you. Come take a lookie-loo :) Heres the direct link:

I like them all, but especially that last photo. Is it really cold enough there for sweaters?
Aw.. these are really sweet pictures and you are such a good mother. Here's to 8th grade :) It was the hardest year of my school days.. I hope it is one of the easiest for her :)
It IS cool here... yesterday it was only 13 degrees... you know no matter the weather, Loopy wears a hat anyway.
Grade 8 is a hard one. I hope it goes well.
Awww! 8th grade is such a fun group (it's what I teach )and the difference at the end of the year is amazing. Those are some great shots to remember it by.
What beautiful photos! I wish my boys (7th grade, 9th, and older) would be such patient models!
Loopy sure does have a lot of faces. Here she looks like the perfect girl next door as compared with her SJP shoot. Amazing!
