It's just to hot to get much done, and that's not a good thing, considering my cousin's wedding is only three days away. Still to do: construct the huppah, press the clothes, finalize the playlist, clear the memory cards for all three cameras and charge every battery I can get my hands on. There's more, but I won't bore you. You'll be thrilled with the photos on the weekend, I can guarantee you that much.

How about a "before" picture of my laundry room. Today I completed the final touches to bring it into a final state... I hope to reveal tomorrow. Pop quiz: what did I keep? The wallpaper? What did I lose? Put your thinking caps on... and tune in tomorrow!

We had pink streaks put back in Loopy's hair, and yes, we're adding a "twist of lime" for the occasion of the wedding (and to fit the theme) but we couldn't do them both at the same time so we're back on Thursday morning. Here's hoping for a really lime colour, don't you think? She's wearing a Lilly Pulitzer pink and lime dress... I found it on eBay but sssssh! don't tell anyone.

After we left the salon, you know I couldn't resist a few photos. This may not have been one of our more successful photographer/model collaborations. I'm sure Annie Liebovitz has had those days with say, Kate Moss or some other supermodel.

A little of the heat, humidity and grumpiness shining through, but I still likey. She talked me into these most retro and heinous sunglasses... it perked her up for a few shots.

Do you think, by the end of summer vacation, we might have a cute little portfolio put together? Oh, how I wish I had "fashion shots" of my tween years... to look back at what lovely outfits I must have put together. Let me just say, The Fan was stellar, bringing all the coolest outfits back that she could find on her world travels and adventures with The Secret Weapon. If I only had them captured on film.

What was your favourite outfit when you were thirteen? Dare you post it?

You girls have so much fun together with your photo shoots! FUN! Tell Loopy that I love her pink streaks.

You're so smart to look for special occassion clothing on eBay...great idea.

I like your blog's new look!

Mercifully, I don't have any pictures of a 13 year old me handy. I fear my favorite outfit at the time may have had smurfs on it and included those super-awesome 80s sunglasses.

At the very least, it probably included 2 or more colors of neon.

It was all uphill from there.

Lets not talk about my clothes at 13, ok? LOL It would scare even me. And the ozone layer from those mall bangs....

I had big white sunglasses like that circa 1980-something that mom got somewhere. The photo brings back memories.

I didn't have any great clothes as a teenager. I was just happy not to have to wear many hand-me-downs which haunted me in elementary school.

I can't wait to see the green. I have a 10 year old that would love those streaks. Good luck on getting everything done, I am having no desire to do anything either and my hubby & kids are gone, perfect opportunity to get things done & I would rather watch re-runs. Go figure.

Hah! Uncle Bug & I could upload a few photos of your 'Glamour Years' - THAT would put us in your good books, yes??!!
(I wanted to type in 'tee hee' but I just HATE people who do that LOL, and tee hee, ha ha stuff..it seems so lazy somehow. Like making those dorky 'air quotation marks' that people do for emphasis...)
So, tee hee! xoxo the fan
p.s. As always, my lovely Loopy!

Oh my gravy! Those glasses at the end! She'll totally LOVE it later when you pull these shots out..

Sweaters were cool when I was that age. I hated all the other 80s fads..parachute pants, white jeans etc...

You have no idea how badly I need to see the "new" laundry room. I don't know why I love pictures of laundry rooms. My mom and I used to do these photo shoots when I was young, and I find it hilarious what I CHOSE to wear for them!

I so love your blog and love your relationship with your daughter. I have one too and girls are so much fun (when they are driving you crazy!).
What my favorite outfit was when I was thirteen...hmmmm let's go back in time - probably my Jordache jeans with a rainbow sparkle t-shirt. I have to say with my mall bangs I could really work this outfit at the skating rink. Ahhh, memories!

Love your new look (both on the blog and laundry area!). Who wouldn't die to have a laundry area like that? I love what you did and what the house faeries left behind. How sweet to frame them (and good so they can't reclaim them again!). Loopy is just lovely. The hot pink is perfect. Lucky her to have you in her life. Now, come on ova and do a room for me! hehe.

I forgot to leave this for you yesterday. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7502458538500026068

I found it on another blog way back when. It works. If only I can remember the moves! hehe.

Loopy is such a beautiful girl :)

My favorite outfit at 13 was... my jean shorts with a rainbow on the back pocket and my transfered aplique Koala t-shirt. It was all about Koalas and rainbows in 1983 :)

I absolutely love the streaks! The green wasn't as bright as you were hoping it would be though, correct?
