Kelly and I were shopping bags today and put one through the test kitchen when we got home from shopping here. What did we think?
1. Kelly needs a new stove, even more than Saucy does.
2. The fire alarms at Rick and Kelly's house are in good working order.
3. Overall grade... A-. Not too sweet. The molten lava was buttery and gooey but it spilled out of the nice little ramekins we picked up at Crate and Barrel and all over the oven floor. Divide the mix in half and use six ramekins. That's what we say.
Also reported during our big shopping day:
1. The sales right now are outrageous. Still, nobody was walking through the mall schlepping bags. You must all be waiting for your economic stimulus cheques.
2. We drove past Krispy Kreme, in deference for the upcoming Mexico trip. We must protect the thighs.
3. PF Cheng's serves up scandalous amounts of food. Between the two of us, we didn't finish one order of wonton soup and one lettuce wrap.
4. Target will never come to Canada because everybody crosses the border to shop there. We ran into neighbours from the hometown there.
5. Cupcake caddies must be hot items because they were sold out at Target, Michaels, Crate & Barrel and Williams-Sonoma.
6. Scientific experiments are underway regarding the efficacy of certain Sephora-purchased cellulite creams and lotions. Report will be published here in six to eight weeks.

Sorry, molten chocolate cakes don't tempt me in the least, not even in restaurants! I haven't tasted any competition that comes close to my chocolate soufle with white chocolate sauce! Come and taste the competition sometime!
Ouch. That is a tad steep, even at Williams Sonoma's standards, for a cake mix. Now, $4.99, that's more like it. Ew, what a mess. Hope she had a splat mat at the bottom of the stove! They do look divine though, especially at $4.99.
I really need to check to see if our Williams-Sonoma is having the same sale--I love that molten cake (which doesn't love me back, hence I'm paying attention to your other notes about driving by Krisy Kreme and the Sephora products).
Great shopping notes and the bit about the functional fire alarms is...well...alarming. I'm glad all is well at their house.
yummo!!!
we had these for valentines day !!
you are a busy girl!!!!
oxoxox,
jessi
Yummy. I just drooled on my keyboard. I hate being snowed in with no way to get anywhere... and even our mall with the W/S closed due to the weather so I couldn't even go get one if I wanted to...
Who knew there was such a thing as a cupcake caddy? Saucy, you are my Martha Stewart!
These cold winter days make me crave chocolate constantly. Thankfully my body is so consumed by trying to maintain body temperature that I think the injested chocolate calories during the winter actually balance themselves!
There you are! Weird... I had your blog bookmarked and about two weeks ago (right after your "exam" post) went to refresh the site and nothing new came up... I thought that you were ill or something especially since I saw nothing new for Valentine's Day! Finally, I had had enough, I googled you and the blog renewed itself... and to think I have missed so much!

So does this mean you need a passport to shop at Target?
No Targets in Canada is such a sin! They are currenly opening one up 7 mins from my house and I'm practically frothing at the mouth in anticipation (no more driving 30+ mins to the nearest one!)
Molten lava cakes and vanilla bean ice cream rock my world and that pict is making me crave...
:^)
I'm heading over to the bookstore today, and there is a W&S almost next door to it. I'll have to stop in.
I'm thinking of you, and hoping that all is well. Take care.
I heard a rumour that Target was coming to Medicine Hat, of all places. It was a pretty well-substantiated rumour from about 6 months ago. I won't believe it until they open the doors to the place.
Saucy, where have you gone?
Shopping for chocolate. Retail and food therapy in one shot. Inspired!
Come back soon Saucy. I miss you!
Saucy, darling, are you ok?
I know you may just be busy, but I thought I'd check in on you....no new blog posts for awhile and I'm worried about you!
Big hugs...
Girls, I'm fine. We are out of Toronto and in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico! I'm trying to blog but it's hard to log in. I'll post as soon as I can! Promise!
Ohh man, you have no idea how bad I'm craving one of those cakes now. The picture alone is enough to give you a heart attack, a heart attack im willing to have ;)
