tu-tu cute!

Here they are... the tutus I whipped up for MJ's daughters, K and N, last night while Ben watched some sort of pay-per-view-man-fight-thingy. I had to do something to offset the testosterone in this house.

The Ki starting dance lessons this fall. MJ and I used to take dance lessons together... how the time has flown. I hope these fit. I like longer, flouncier tutus, don't you? I had to make one for N, too... so she wouldn't be left out on the fun.

How adorable! You are just full of all kinds of talent.. Where do you have the tu-tus hanging? I like the shelf, how it is set up and the bead board, very nice :)

Lisa, there is a funny story about that shelf! In a previous post she tells the story of our trip to IKEA in Calgary and the two of us tying the shelf and a few other things on top of Veto's Jeep for the trip home.We were caught in "The Storm of the Year" as we drove ot of town - and came home with only the boards but no fittings - anyone who knows IKEA products will cringe at the very thought of putting that shelf together without all the parts! But we have Sasha's Dad aka "The Secret Wepon" so he put it up using every wiley trick he knew (and he knows many!)We can laugh about it now, but it was horrid weather, oy veh!

Oh drat! I hope when I rope the Fan into helping me organize the attic this week we will stumble upon the other two lined wicker baskets for that shelf. Guess what? They didn't come with the shelf... and I have a set of four... but since the move, I can only find two!

I love the tutus (how does one pluralize the word tutu?), the little tag and flower details are wonderful.

This sounds really, really silly but I'm signing up for a ballet class at my ripe old age. The classes are modified for women like me who have some health issues. It helps you with maintaining your balance so you don't fall, flexibility and working out those arthritic joints, etc. Maybe I'll get to wear a tutu--makes me giggle just to think about that.

That's hilarious, but I know it is only in retrospect. I can just imagine... :)

Thanks again for the tutus! They are now in N's closet (closed with a safety doorknob!) & waiting for the appropriate time to bring them out. I just can't bear to crop them and will hold onto them a while until K grows into them height-wise! Considering her growth spurts, that'll likely be next spring! Will keep you posted with the photos!

Oops! You should write out your story & send it to IKEA. Maybe it could be made into a commercial?! I was just recently thinking of that particular post of yours & getting a chuckle at the images of the rain, the jeep and the merchandise at risk!
